Moving on

It has been several months since I last posted on this blog because it has been several months since I left Romania.  “When in Romania…” served a number of purposes.  With it, I was introduced to blogging.  In forcing myself to write at a pretty consistent rate of 2 posts per month a pretty good-sized summary of my experiences over the last few years has been produced.  I was able to share these experiences with friends and family but also to create a log that I can look back at, enjoy, reminisce. Overall, it was a positive experience but one which as come to an end and it is time to move on.

Since this blog is a record of my experiences as a Peace Corps volunteer in Romania and I am no longer holding that position, I have decided to retire the blog.  The experience of blogging itself has been a rewarding one and I have decided to start a new blog.  My experience traveling in Romania and in Europe has significantly changed my perspective on the world.  Contrary to my pre-Peace Corps perspective, other countries and cultures close and far away, seem much more accessible; the world seems much smaller.  The name of my new blog is “Life in a small world”.  Feel free to stop by.
